Sunday 2nd February, I had a custom order from a lady in Merika for a St Patrick's day hanging heart. The same lady has previously purchased a Valentines heart.
This was what I made for her this afternoon.

Photo 365 - 13
Another busy day. Lots of housework today but I did find time to make a little purple brooch. The bits and bobs came from a Crafty Creatives box. You can find out more about them on my Fabrilushus blog. Anyway, this is what I made.
It is purple felt. It has a brass, filigree square with pink bugle bead in the centre. There is a pink and black braid around the edge and it has bugle beads in each corner. I am quite pleased with it and the photo doesn't do it justice. Really must get to grips with my new camera.

Photo 365 - 8
Well it has been a busy day today as I have Jessica to look after on Wednesdays. I get quite worn out even though she is a little angel. So today my post is short and sweet.
This little hanging heart was made especially for a lady in Merika.

January 1st 2014
Out with the old and in with the new. Happy New Year to you all. I hope 2014 treats us all well.
I always feel a great deal of excitement on the first day of
the New Year. It’s the idea of a blank
canvas just waiting to be written. It’s similar to the feeling that I get from
a brand new book. Every page is a
discovery and adventure. I wonder why
we only tend to get this feeling on New Year’s Day, after all every day is a
new canvas. There really is nothing special
about the 1st of January. It is just a day like any other.
Nevertheless, I do welcome another year. I like to look back
over the year just gone and to reflect on the good memories made. I try to be
thankful for all those good things in my life. I don’t make resolutions but I do like to look
ahead and set some goals.
So I am sitting here thinking and now I am going to share a few
with you all………………….
Lose some weight, increase fitness level and health. This is not a resolution but an on-going
promise to myself. As an added incentive
I and another volunteer at the Three Counties Dog Rescue are going to do a sponsored
slim to raise funds for the doggies.
That brings me to another goal. To try and come up with new ways of fund
raising. The dog rescue is absolutely desperate for money. It costs around £15,000 a month which is a lot
of money.
That takes me on to my sewing. I haven’t made much from it so far. I need to
concentrate on the items that do sell. I want to double the sales that I made
in my first year.
Other goals are to do with learning. I had a lovely new bridge camera for
Christmas. A Nikon P520. It has all the manual
controls that you would find in a full DSLR. I think it may even do the washing up! I want
to learn how to use all those functions properly. It is my intention to try to do a photo a
day. A 365 Photo diary. We’ll see.
It may just help me get the blogging habit back.
Lastly, I intend to try out a new craft each month. That seems to be a decent amount of time to
try something out and get a feel for it.
If I take to something and enjoy it then I can take it on. I am going to begin with knitting. I will
keep you posted on progress.
So 2014 is set to be a good year for us. A
challenging year quite possibly and a year of change if Simon decides to cut his
working hours further. I’m up for it
though, so bring it on, I can’t wait to get started.
I’m sure you have all been setting your own goals today and
whatever they may be I wish you luck with them.
I wish you love health and happiness and as always I wish you ENOUGH.
BYE BYE 2013
WELCOME 2014
When is a resolution not a resolution? When it’s a goal!

15th October
Another cold day but at least it isn't raining, so far. I got the usual housework malarky out the way early and am now having a sewing day. Just finished these for an Etsy friend. We are trading; she is knitting me a pram blanket and I made these for her. They are to be a Christmas gift for someone.
Made her one of my little fabric brooches as an extra.
Just have to get it all parceled up and then I am starting on a hip pouch which is a custom order for a friend of Verity's.

More Show and Tell
I know I only just did a "Show and Tell" but you may as well see what else I have been making and what is keeping me so busy.
Let's get started. I have made 2 new bags. The first is my ordinary tote bag. This one has a little yoyo decoration.
This one is a different design, sort of rounded and slouchy. I LOVE this doggie fabric. This bag comes complete with one of my felt brooches which can be removed.
While we are on the subject of doggies I may as well show you a very simple make...... a doggie fleece blanket with knotted fringe.
I have made a few baby items this last week. Here is a fleece burp cloth.
A Ribbon blankie for a baby girl. It has a lovely textured back.
I have made some little hanging hearts in baby fabrics and filled them with lavender. Hopefully these will get baby off to sleep.
Key rings are something new for me and I have made 3 so far.
I have made 8 new felt brooches using a different finish to normal. These ones are blanket stitched together.
Well, I think that is about it for March. I have got other things that I have been working on but I will show them another day. I am still in the process of setting up a new blog specifically for Fabrilushus. I also have exciting news coming soon regarding another outlet for my goodies.
I will hopefully find time to do another blog in the next few days.
Show and tell for the end of March
Well here we go, time to show you all the rest of the things that I have made in the second half of the month.
More hanging pillows. This one says Hope.
The next one has the word Dream and it is not currently for sale. It will probably be a gift for someone.
This is another version of the dream hanging cushion and this one is for sale.
This is another one of my tote bags. I like the colours in this one.
Some more hanging hearts.
A couple of brooches. First a new kind, which is kind of shabby chic so the stitching shows as do the cut threads and they form part of the design.
Some new felt heart brooches in mint and pink which apparently are the on trend colours for spring.
The weather here is rotten, really rotten. It is cold, wet and windy and today we are even supposed to get more snow. Lots of the country is already buried under snow. We seem stuck in winter. Sping is definitely running late. When I think of spring I think of tulips and daffodils. So to cheer myself up I came up with a tulip design.
First of all I made a cushion for my bedroom. I was so pleased with it that I then made a wall hanging for Fabrilushus.
This is the cushion.
Here is the wall hanging.
Well, I originally wrote this around 2 weeks ago and it just never got published. Thank fully since I wrote it spring seems to be finally on it's way.
